General Election is on November 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

All registered voters, except challenged voters, on the Poultney Voter Checklist will receive a ballot in the mail. The ballots will be mailed out the week of September 23, 2024 to the address on file by the Secretary of State Office.

Please read instructions provided when receive your ballot in the mail. If you are not mailing your ballot back to the Poultney Town Clerk’s Office and are planning on voting at the polls (55 Fire House Lane), you will need to bring the ballot you received in the mail with you to the polls. The Secretary of State Office is only sending a limited supply of additional ballots to the Clerk Offices.

If you do not receive a ballot in the mail from the Secretary of State Office by October 3, 2024, please call the Poultney Town Clerk’s Office at 802-287-5761.

“The Vermont Secretary of State's office will be mailing General Election ballots to all active voters in the state. They will be exporting voter data for the mailing on or around September 2. As soon as possible, voters should go to their My Voter Page (https://mvp.vermont.gov/) and confirm it lists a valid mailing address to ensure receipt of the General Election ballot.

Ballots cannot be forwarded by the USPS, so voters who intend to be away on November 5 should go to their My Voter Page and update the mailing address for that election.”
